Biography

Adrienne Shapiro, M.D., Ph.D., M.Sc., is a board certified physician at the Madison Clinic at Harborview and a UW senior fellow of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Shapiro provides primary care for individuals with HIV. She values her partnership with each patient and strives to build meaningful relationships with patients to help identify and manage their health priorities.

Dr. Shapiro earned her M.D. and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, and her M.Sc. from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include HIV prevention and care, tuberculosis diagnostics and care in resource-limited settings and general infectious diseases, including HIV and STIs.
