Biography

The overall goal of Dr. Bender Ignacio’s research is to understand how immune responses and other infections impact acquisition of HIV and the course of HIV infection.  She is interested in co-infections with HIV, including tuberculosis, hepatitis, and herpesviruses, as well as HIV-associated cancers.
