Dr. Cohen is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington and the Medical Director of Infection Prevention at UW Medical Center. Dr. Cohen has attended on Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center Infectious Disease service at UW and currently attends on the ID consult service at UW Medical Center. He is passionate about medical education and co-directs the annual Tropical Medicine elective (GH561) in the UW School of Medicine. Dr. Cohen specializes in caring for patients who may have compromised immune systems due to cancer, transplantation, or autoimmune disease, as well as people living with HIV. He is especially interested in general infectious diseases, including sexually transmitted infections, surgical infections, osteomyelitis, prosthetic joint infections, travel, and tropical medicine.
