Bio

E. Chandler Church is a Senior Fellow in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division at Fred Hutchison Cancer Center. She obtained her MD from the Medical University of South Carolina and an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residence at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University, and Infectious Disease Fellowship at University of Washington. She is currently working under Drs. Larry Corey and Jim Kublin on tuberculosis immunology, vaccines, and diagnostics. Current work includes a trial evaluating BCG as a potential challenge model for tuberculosis vaccine and treatments, a systematic review of oral swab analysis for TB diagnosis, startup of a female genital tuberculosis research clinic at Harborview infectious disease clinic, and protocol design for use of currently available multi-kinase inhibitors for treatment of early COVID-19 disease.
