bio

Dr. John-Stewart's research is focused on HIV prevention and treatment among women, adolescents and children.  Research studies are based in a >30-year collaborative partnership in Kenya, and span the spectrum from molecular epidemiology to implementation science.  These studies are focused on providing interventions and policy impact to improve outcomes among women, adolescents and children in settings with high HIV prevalence in sub Saharan Africa.  Current research includes studies of growth, co-infection (herpes viruses, TB), PrEP, ART, and health systems interventions to improve HIV prevention and treatment support in mothers, adolescents, and children.
