Timeline & Process

  • JULY - Applications for the program are accepted exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). All applicants must submit the required documentation to be considered:
    • Fellowship Application
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Personal Statement (see guidance below)
    • Letters of Recommendation
    • Medical School Transcript
    • USMLE Transcript
    • Recent Photograph
    • If applicable, ECFMG Certificate (transmitted by NBME)
  • AUGUST - ERAS Applications are accepted and reviewed through August. 

Personal STATEMENT

To help us better assess your interests and align you with faculty interviewers, please consider including the following information in your personal statement:

  1. Type of research you are interested in
  2. Potential mentors at UW you would like to work with
  3. Any clinical areas of special interest
  4. What, beyond clinical training, would you like to learn during your fellowship
  5. Long-term career goals
  6. Why you are interested in training in our program in Seattle

Interviews

After receipt and review of applications, selected applicants will be invited to interview. 

Interested applicants are welcome to interview with our program directors and faculty. Interviews are arranged with a number of faculty over one day. 

All interviews will be virtual.
